Years ago, me and a buddy of mine hooked his 830 John , the largest and last of the 2 cylinder line, to his buzz saw. I'm not sure how big the belt pulley was on the old J.D., but the one on the saw was approx. 4". At an idle, the saw blade was actually whistling!!

Mar 10, 2018· This saw is definitely a Buzz Saw used for cutting fire wood. A very dangerous saw. I doubt this saw was on a 8N ford. It was run with a endless belt. I don't believe the pto on a "Ford 8N would turn it fast enough. They worked good for sharpening fence post also.

H Farmalls, buhr mills, buzz saws, flat belts and such are from a day in age when things were simpler. Operating them is not rocket science.
